Burton Hutto, MD is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who is a Professor of Psychiatry at the UNC School of Medicine. He is Director of the Psychotherapy Clinic for psychiatry residents and Medical Director of the crisis unit of inpatient psychiatry at UNC Hospitals. He is a graduate of the UNC-Duke Psychoanalytic Education Program, now known as the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas, and he is on the faculty of the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas.
