GivingThe mission of the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas is to promote emotional resilience by understanding the mind through psychoanalytic education, practice and service. Because the PCC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, your gifts to support our mission are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Why Donate to the PCC?
DONATEWays to GiveYour gift to the PCC is an investment in the future of psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy and is instrumental in promoting its life-changing benefits. There are many ways donors can make a contribution to our work. We hope you will consider making a donation to the PCC’s Annual Fund. Your gift supports core organizational functions not fully covered by membership dues and tuition, including our training programs in Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, the Psychoanalytic Referral Service, MindPlay, and Circle of Security Parenting. For larger gifts to the PCC during your lifetime, pledges may be paid over several years. Many donors use this option when making large gifts to support particular programs or initiatives, such as the Craige Fund for Building Organizational Capacity and our scholarship funds for psychoanalytic education. How an IRA charitable rollover gift works:
Planned GiftsYou can remember the PCC by leaving a gift in your will or estate plan. A planned gift may allow you to give more than you ever thought possible and, at the same time, you may experience tax advantages or income for a number of years or life. Planned gifts may be given to be used at the discretion of the board or designated for a specific purpose. Further, they may be designated as endowment funds (see below) or as funds to be spent as needed to support the PCC. General EndowmentEndowment gifts to the PCC are invested for long-term growth and provide funds in perpetuity for the organization. Your gift of any asset – cash, stock, life insurance, or real estate – allows flexibility to capitalize on unforeseen opportunities or address financial emergencies. The PCC draws out a small percentage of the endowment each year, usually less than 5%, to support its programs. Endowment gifts to support a specific purpose must be $100,000 or greater.
