This is the third in a series that features clinicians from a range of disciplines who will share how they use concepts from psychoanalysis to enrich their clinical work, from cultivating creativity to working with addictions. All are welcome, at no cost, to learn from these experienced psychotherapists. CEUs will not be offered for these events, but Letters of Attendance will be sent. If you are enrolled in a PCC training program or are a PCC member, you will be placed on a waiting list. The target audience for this presentation is people without PCC affiliation; however, if seats are available you will be notified and welcome to participate!
About the presenter: Dr. Samina Aziz is a general and child psychiatrist who treats patients using medication management and psychotherapy. Dr. Aziz plans to talk about how the use of psychotherapy as a treatment modality, has changed for psychiatrists over the last several decades. Dr. Aziz will discuss how her training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy has enriched her work with patients and helped improve outcomes. She will also talk about why she thinks training in psychotherapy is essential for psychiatrists. Clinicians from all theoretical backgrounds and levels of experience are welcomed.
