Operationalized Psychoanalytic Diagnostic (OPD) Training Opportunity

Operationalized Psychoanalytic Diagnostic (OPD) training (http://www.opd-online.net) is offered for the first time in the US 2/18 and 2/19, 2018 Sunday-Monday (Presidents' Day) in New York City following the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA) meeting. OPD began in Germany and is considered one of the most in-depth psychodynamic assessment tools and clearly the most in-depth, assessment training requiring three full weekends. Cord Benedict Ph.D., psychoanalyst and Clinical Psychologist at the University of Kassel in Germany, will lead the training and be joined by Manfred Cierpka MD, one of the founders of OPD from the University of Heidelberg. David M. Moore Ph.D., Training and Supervising Analyst (NC), will assist and coordinate arrangements. Dr. Moore received the training over three weekends in Stockholm and can answer questions at [email protected]. Cost includes a $200 non-refundable deposit plus a payment of $800 that covers all three weekends of training due before 2/1/18. The maximum number of trainees is 20. The second and third training will be at the beginning or end of the Chicago June 2018 and February 2019 APsaA meetings. The first weekend of training in New York is hosted by the Institute for Psychoanalytic Education (IPE) affiliated with NYU School of Medicine, 1 Park Avenue, 8th Floor (between 32nd and 33rd Streets) New York, NY 10016.
